| Although he is a local hero from Amsterdam, there is nothing that Local Hero on Sax like more than to take his sax on a long journey, playing every occasion that matters. You can find him playing clubs & bars, festivals & weddings, business party’s & dinner shows and in the studio. His sound fits everywhere, cause this hero is always improvising warm, jazzy and funky melodies. Choosing between an alto, tenor or soprano sax with a wireless microphone, he keeps the crowd dancing. As an Amsterdam based artist Local Hero (born in Holland) started out playing the saxophone as a teenager. Like any other wannabe artist he started with improvising and playing along with records of famous (jazz) artists. This worked out exceptionally and after numerous gigs with bands and jam sessions Local Hero discovered the freedom of improvising on House music. From that moment on his career skyrocketed. Local Hero played alongside an incredible +500 dj’s the last decade during club nights, festivals, weddings and company parties. | Veth Music released the album ‘The Future Sound of Paradise' at the end of 2010, written and composed by Local Hero on Sax. He is one of the few saxophone players in the world with his very own house album. The tracks are available at all major portals like Dance Tunes, Itunes, Audiojelly and Traxsource. After performing with a lot of dj's Local Hero decided to create his own music. With the tracks on the album he differentiates himself from other live artists, by telling a musically driven tale in which he defines new borders in the merging between house and sax. The album is inspired on artists like Deadmau5, Mark Knight, Sébastien Léger, Booka Shade and Trentemřller. |
